The World Surfing Games returns to El Salvador after two years, where the Czech team will compete for the third time since their debut in 2023. The competiton will be held from September 6 to 14, 2025, at two iconic spots of La Bocana and El Sunzal – and the Czech team will be there again this year. This year's World Surfing Games will feature the largest number of competitors to date, specifically 297 surfers from a record number of 61 countries.

The Czech SURF and SUP Federation (ČFSAS) is sending a national team - this time with following six members:
Jana Kašová is an experienced member of the team, a five-time Czech and Slovak champion and a member of the national team for the third year. Jana spends most of the year training under national coach Gonçalo Silva in Portugal and after a solid placing at the European Championships (25th place) she will strive for the best possible result here as well.
Lucie Hlavsová participated in the Czech competitions in France for the first time at this year's Surfchamp and immediately managed to win. Lucie has been living in Australia for a long time, where she trains at the Freshwater Boardriders surf club and regularly participates in club competitions. The club strongly supports the women's division, which allows her to systematically develop her skills and experience, which she is now transferring to the international level.
Klára Kováříková, after her debut in the national team in Puerto Rico last year, confirms her form and will continue to gain experience on the world stage this year. She prepares most of the year in Peniche under the supervision of a Portuguese coach. Her previous professional athletics career also helped her gain competition experience.
In the men's category, it's Petr Novotný , an experienced competitor and manager of the Czech team. With his rich racing experience, he supports the preparation of the entire team and at the same time takes care of the organization of the activities of the Czech national team. Petr is also dedicated to young talents and strives to create a quality environment for their training at home and abroad with the aim of raising future Czech surf Olympians.
Among the men, David Petr will also compete, who regularly places in medal positions on the Czech scene. In addition to competing, he runs the surf camp Surfcamp.cz in Portugal, where he also trains regularly. He first competed on the international stage at the European Championship in Santa Cruz, where he even won one of his heats, and is now preparing for further challenges at the world championship.
Last but not least, Filip Müller , who qualified for the national team mainly thanks to a great second place in Caparica. He competed for the first time at the European Championship in Santa Cruz and now awaits his premiere at the World Surfing Games. Although he does not live by the ocean, he was able to assert himself against experienced opponents and proudly represents Czech inland surfers.
The World Games opened on Friday, September 5th with a ceremony that included the traditional sprinkling of sand from all nations. The flag bearer of the Czech team was Filip Müller , and the sand, which this year came from the Brčálník pond, was poured into a common container by Klára Kováříková .
